thanks for washing our heads, hank :) seems we'll have to think even more about it.

i'm still dreaming of something that unites these requirements. a strongly-typed shell with an agnostic inner. i'm not sure how it could be done- something ugly always remains (either strings as event types, which i, just as nicolas, somehow not like, yet, probably like you, value for its genericness -- or something like using the classname/methodname as identifier for lowlevel operations).

so i'll not start to move xinf to the haxe proposal just yet, but follow the discussion on the haxe ml.
